Diploma for Early Years Workforce

Study Diploma for Early Years Workforce at the UK University

As part of the Diploma for Early Years Workforce (EYE), learners will be prepared to work as Early Years Educators, also called Nursery nurses, capable of working with children from five to seven years old.

Diploma for Early Years Workforce Course Features

During the course, you will learn:

  • The state of health and well-being
  • Legislation, frameworks, and professional practices
  • The development of play and learning in preparation for school

Entry Requirements for Diploma for Early Years Workforce

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age with GCSE English and Maths. They must also have a Level 2 Maths and English Functional Skills diploma.

Course Structure for Diploma for Early Years Workforce

There will be one day of face-to-face learning at the college every week during this 12- to 14-month program. You will need a suitable placement to collect work-based evidence for the course assignments. Following completion of the course, you will be awarded the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) qualification, which will allow you to find employment, including the following:

  • Assisting in children’s centres
  • Educators in nursery schools 
  • Educator in primary school reception classes
  • Worker in a preschool 

Additional Financial Aid for Diploma for Early Years Workforce

Assessment

To graduate from the course, the student must complete all required units and demonstrate competence in a real-world work environment.

Financial Eligibility

It is possible to access complete Level 3 courses for free if you are over 19 years old and do not have a full Level 3 qualification. Applicants who are eligible for financial assistance may be able to fund this course through AEB Funding.

Adult Education Budget (AEB) Funding?

Suppose you are unemployed from the Great London Authority, earning less than £21,157.50 per year (before any deductions) and can provide evidence of your salary with pay slips. Low-income fee waivers may be available depending on your course. If you reside outside the Greater London Authority area, the income threshold is £17,374.50.
